Hello there, I think I might need some help unrooting my Apollo Lite and revert back to the stock ROM in order to return it in warranty.
I have sptool, scatter files and the original rom downloaded from vernee.cc How should I proceed? I can't find a proper guide online.
Thank you in advance.

I managed to do that flawlessly, it seems. Just download this ROM www.needrom.com/download/vernee-apollo-lite/ extract the contents to a folder and use sptool just like you would root your phone. Select the scatter file inside the unzipped folder and instead of download only, select firmware upgrade. Everything should be checking by itself with all the correct files. Click download, plug your phone (previously turned off) and wait some. Phone unrooted, stock rom installed. I am on my Umi Super now, we'll see in the future...

Nice, please do a compare of Umi Super vs Apollo Lite. Mainly I'm interested in software, is it done properly or similar to Vernee?

The UMI Super was my first choice for appearance, feeling and oh god that harlequin notification halo. It also had system (invisible) buttons below the screen, thing that I am too used to back since Samsungs. I never liked having the navbar on the screen.
The OS is pretty much the same: Android 6.0, MTK turbo download and any other standard stuff. The difference comes with the camera that has prebuilt nice functionalities, not to mention the additiona physical button on the left edge that can fire up an app of choice, camera by default. Alas it can't be used to take pictures it seems. It has battery modes that can be programmed to start at a certain time or percentage of battery left, deactivating or changing stuff to save more battery.
It has the same annoying battery drain as the Apollo Lite but it has a working deep sleep mode. So basically the drainage affects the phone for shorter periods.
The vibration feedback is horrible to me while I felt the Apollo Lite one being too powerful on the other hand.
Audio in ear is slightly lower, loudspeaker more powerful.
It is heavier, bulkier and the touchscreen is very slightly less responsive but all in all... it is fine and more "smooth" to hold.

Hmm, then it would seem that problem is with Mediatek, and much broader problem since Umi super uses P10 chipset instead of X20, or the fault is with component that is shared between those two chipsets... Ah well, Qualcomm's Snapdragon it is for my next phone, I guess you get what you pay for.

Additional notes.
I am every day less sad that I lost my Vernee. This UMI Super is great compared to some of the Apollo Lite features like the display: it is much more vivid in the colors without tweaking with Miravision, it has a delicious finger-touch oleofobic treatment and way more backlightning.
It is less powerful performance wise (XCOM Enemy Within drops some quality) but even if it shares the same battery drain, it packs a 4Ah battery that is still holding 44% at 11.30pm. And I played a lot, messed with xPosed, got a couple of modules to personalize the device a bit more and made at least 1h of calls.
The BIG downside here are the vibration (god, feels like an almost battery dead buzzer) and the touchscreen sensitivity being too low even without a tempered glass.
I'll see in the long term but so far so happy.

That's great, at least you found a phone that you can use every day.
