Team, Just followed the instructions to use TWRP recovery to install Open-GAPPS and SUPERUSER.... Unfortunately Google Play Store app keeps crashing on start UP. My question is: What version and variation of Open-GAPPS are to be used please? Answer: Used the Open-GAPPS, ARM64 - Android 6.0 - Micro. Phone working perfectly now. Yup micro or nano. Anything else is too big for partition. And just includes apps from play store anyway

FYI: battery consumption Day2 included about 5 hours of tethering. Then 12 hours of standby. Results 73% battery power remaining.

C'mon chucker, give us the answer, if you really had 73% battery remaining after to days, well, screw Nougat I'm going back to fards Marshmallow.

There's a version it there that causes this. Thought I'd linked to the correct one. I'll reupload it later if not

Fwiw with the battery. I've been struggling with mine for the last few days.
Checked let night in developer options and keep mobile radio attached was selected (it shouldn't be). Left phone at home this morning while at work, left powered on and connected to WiFi and battery has dropped 3% in 6 hours of standby. Im happy with that tbh.

Well, that's awesome, I current have about 20% of battery drain over 6 hours...

How to install Fards rom with GAPS: 1. In TWRP do complete wipeout (under advance option check all except SD card) 2. in SP Flash tools flash fards rom 3. in SP Flash tools flash TWRP (I use version from needrom.com) 4. restart phone and go to TWRP recovery menu and install SuperSU (needrom.com) 5. wipeout cache and dalvik in TWRP 6. reboot, copy to sdcard flashfire 0.54-PRE and install it 7. in flashfire install gaps (I use nano) Enjoy rom with gaps process is described by fards on XDA forum I only try it and write it here. This is maybe too complicated and is some easier way but for me it works.

Here is my simple test... fully charged 2-Apollo-Lite phones to 100%, put both phones - screen-off on the shelf for 12 hours, took pictures of battery use.: LEFT = MAD ASOP 7.1.1 ROM - as of 12-Jan-2017 RIGHT = FARDS 6.0 ROM-11Dec16C - as of 24-Dec-2016 You can judge based on your own priorities. * FYI, had some charging issues with MAD ROM (12-Jan-2017), when phone shut down will not charge and battery gets really hot and phone charge LED does not light up. With phone on it charges and LED indicator works as normal. As follow on, I tested MAD-ASOP-7.1.1 again with Battery saver ON, after 13 hours on the shelf, phone had 47% power left... as opposed to 44%, a slight reduction in the Android OS power use
