With the aim of promoting and facilitating the diagnosis, treatment and specialized monitoring of breast cancer; As well as promoting education on the timely detection of this condition, Caravana Rosa ADO was created. The initiative is focused on supporting Mexican women in the southeast of the country.
For the eighth consecutive edition, Caravana Rosa from ADO, a leading transportation brand in Mexico and part of MOBILITY ADO as well as the Breast Cancer Foundation (FUCAM) join together to provide free mammograms in four states of the republic: Oaxaca, Chiapas, Veracruz and Guerrero.
Pink Caravan ADO started yesterday Chile Mobile Number List with the lighting of a giant pink bow – a symbol of the fight against breast cancer – on the esplanade of the Monument to the Mother in Mexico City. Thanks to the support and participation of hundreds of attendees, it was possible to reach the number of 1,400 free mammograms that will be given to Mexican women who will receive their studies in the specialized FUCAM units within the ADO and Estrella de Oro bus terminals.
The event was graced with the participation of Jana Gutiérrez, Club América soccer player and athlete from the U-17 Women's National Team, who reinforced her commitment and solidarity with women who go through this condition.
The route of the ADO Pink Caravan begins next Monday, October 7 in Veracruz, Veracruz, and 350 mammograms are expected to be performed in the town. Subsequently, the specialized mobile unit of FUCAM will continue its journey in the states of Guerrero, Chiapas and Oaxaca.
In the case of women with signs of this disease or who subsequently need complementary studies, ADO provides free transfers to Mexico City for follow-up with the AC Breast Cancer Foundation
According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), one in eight women is at risk of suffering from breast cancer. Many cases are detected at an advanced stage. That is why it is vital to obtain a timely diagnosis in the initial stage for the benefit of the patient.
To date, Caravana Rosa ADO has performed more than 8,000 free mammograms nationwide. In addition, FUCAM treats 7% of breast cancer cases throughout the country and those that are detected at an early stage can have a 93% chance of cure.
Through seven buses painted pink, ADO will also transmit a message of prevention and awareness in the Mexican southeast.
