Call me romantic but I'm really hoping that, at some point in time, Vernee will release the official Nougat.

They probably will, but i don't think it will solve this problem with battery drain... EDIT: Viper beat me to it

Yep, when azmodanfury mentioned that there is also a battery drain on his UMI super phone which uses Helio P10 chipset, it has to be some device that both chipsets use, so in the end it's probably a driver issue. I'm afraid that will never be fixed. So it seems that battery drain will be there permanently. I guess it's time to go and search for a new phone, and get as far away from Mediatek as possible Yes, there is some insane wakelock in here as well but the phone properly uses the deep sleep mode, saving good amounts of charge compred to the Apollo Lite (that actually had problem taking naps). Yes, this is a 4Ah battery and I am on 6.0 but with Amplify (xposed module with default settings) and useless receivers disabled, the phone really does consume 1% over one hour of standby with WiFi and Data on. Maybe when xposed will work on Nougat things will be sorted somehow. That blabber to say that I am confident M.A.D will find the "bug" eating the charge out. Stay safe!

From the MAD Team:
Deep Sleep Fixed
Baby Sleeps zZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
woohooo
now ... we need to fix other things that are somehow related ......
This was like 10minutes ago ... just passing by and sharing my joy
..........
was about to burn the damn phone
ok everything is running fine ... just to be sure,,, we'll be testing this even better ...
A brief explanation:
It's 100% MediaTek "fault" ... like always they messed things up with their s&%$# ( insert bad word here ) services and hals ...While this things works for them .... on their own build system ...
it completely messes things up when your building an Aosp / lineage / whatever 3rd party rom source ...
And no, like said, nothing to do with kernel ... or wakelocks, or whatever ...
.Need to sleep ...

Woohoo, some great news on this very depressing and rainy morning In the end, we were barking on the wrong tree, Mediatek messed things up, and apparently Vernee devs just weren't skilled enough to fix it. Hopefully M.A.D will be more successful.

Latest update from the MAD Team: I'm just waiting for new Aosp patch level to be live, then I can fetch sync Testing if nothing got broken, and then we can release a new build Also, while looking for the cause, we had the chance to improved other things, mainly on power related... Hopefully til next weekend, we get a new public build...

Awesome news I miss my vernee, tbh. The battery is superior to 30 month old Nexus 5

True, compared my my old Nexus 4, it's amazing, even with battery drain. I can get almost 5 hours of SOT (if the phone doesn't idle too much) and it would be even better if battery drain issue gets fixed. Can wait for new M.A.D. build to test it out (but this time I'm not touching Band options in Settings )
